The Russian-Jordanian Hashim RPG-32 rocket launcher system is considered a threat to US Security and it was listed by the US Army as part of its intelligence brief on 'Asymmetrical Threats to Current and Future US Forces'. Back in 2006, Jordan Russian Electronics Systems Co (JRESCO) revealed the development of Hashim as a new 105 mm rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher system. JRESCO is a joint venture between the KADDB and Russia's Rosboronexport. In a recent news story, the Arabic version of CNN reported that Hashim RPG-32 represents one of the security threats for the United States of America, together with other ballistic missiles which can destroy all types of military tanks. The Hashim RPG-32 is the result of cooperation between Jordanian and Russian engineers, CNN stated. Labels: Jordan

What a hilarious article. I scoured the internet for any other source of info to explain or to quote any US source as to why this thingy is a national security threat and I could not find anything. Zelch!! It seems the article author is an overexcited Jordanian. this is just an RPG one of many models and it's not even a banned weapon.

relax people. there is no threat to american national security. the article got it wrong. This Hashim-32 will be used by the jordan military to disperse Jordanian demonstrators next time there is a riot against the israeli embassy. or to defend israel's borders from possible Hezbollah and hamas infiltrators. this is for US and Israel's security.

@Dave:
The original CNN article was even more flavored, with references and detailed specifications.
If you speak Arabic, please see it:

And most probably the author is not an "overexcited Jordanian" but an overexcited Russian indeed. The article was first reported by Novosti news agency and Krasnaya Zvezda:
